Check drawing and product specifications for accuracy to be sure all samples and the first production pieces are made per the designers details. Develop a strong communication channel between the U.S. and China on all issues pertaining to samples, production, labor, quality and inventory for continuous improvement. Check all samples and production for finish accuracy withfinishing company. Check leather, bi-cast leather, fabric, metal and any mixed media materials for accuracy. Check all hardware to be sure they follow the designers details as well as product construction to make sure the product will meet QC standards as well meeting any safety or liability standards. Check all new packaging to make certain the factory follows the standards for protection, safety and liability. Proofread all carton printing, assembly instructions and hardware packaging for accuracy and ease of assembly. Report back any changes or inconsistencies with quality, production, labor, inventory and anything that may affect the factory operations. In essence, becomeyour eyes and ears. Act as liaison to our customers and sales representatives and conduct factory tours. Hold weekly meetings with factory to discuss recent quality issues and corrective actions. Walk the factory lines and perform random quality checks and keep up to date on production schedules. Follow up on customer complaints/concerns with the factory.
