GENERAL:This specification governs the requirement of polyester glass fabric tape having abacking of polyester terephthalic acid ester film and a mixture of levapren andmowitaI I epoxy resin (cured and flexible) as binder. The material has temperature indexof at least 155.The tape shall be suitable for hand! machine taping application and should not show anysign of separation of fabric and film. It should be free from defects like stiff edges,wrinkles, etc. and should get smoothly applied on coil overhangs. The material shall besuitable for VPI impregnation in Bisphenol -A epoxy resin and anhydride hardener.2. APPLICATIONUsed as diffusion barrier covering tape on overhang portion of coils manufactured by VPITechnology.3. COMPLIANCE WITH NATIONAL STANDARDS1::There is no Indian Standard covering this type of material.DIMENSIONS AND TOLERANCESThickness, width and length shall be as stated on the order.Preferred Thickness &Tolerance: 0.09 mm with tolerance of f: 0.01 mm.Width &Tolerance: 16,20,25 mm with a tolerance of t 0.5 mm.However any other width can also be ordered.Length I Roll: 50 meters.5. FINISH:The material shall be uniform and free from folds and other irregularities.6.
