To kick the project off, the government has published a Pre-Qualification (PQ) notice for security printing, supply and delivery, installation of equipments and preparation of machine readable passports. Major areas of the project include: 1. Design and security printing of MRP booklets with data page and visa pages conforming with Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Government of Nepal and ICAO 9303 requirements; 2. Supply and delivery of MRP booklets; 3. Supply and installation of equipment, machines and accessories at the Central Passport Office, MOFA;4. Development of system software and database;5. Development of personalisation system;6. Preparation of MRP;7. Training of Nepalese government officials in Nepal and abroad;8.
